Ms. Ivana Filipovic, Project Manager at Croatian post, presented and gave insights about the FlyVETUp project at Greek post’s ELTA “Last Mile” Virtual Training Event that took place on 5th March. Around 300 participants were introduced to the FlyVETUp activities and goals.
Prof. Vaios Lappas, representing Univercity of Patras, presented the “Demonstration of Advanced, Autonomous Last Mile Applications using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs)” during the ELTA’s “Last Mile” Virtual Training Event.
Dr. Antonino Scribellito, PostEurop Projects Director, presented PostEurop and its strategy to promote the postal services, including the diverse mail and parcel services. Dr. Antonino Scribellito also presented the COG-LO Project funded by the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 Programme and how Project reflects the Future of Postal Logistics. COG-LO project continuously examines the potentials arising from the growth of e-commerce and cross-border deliveries, while simultaneously analyzing the possibilities for cognitive logistics and ad hoc collaboration.
Mr. Pavlos Pavlides, Postal Services Acting Director at Cyprus Post, gave an overview and presented the Parcel Lockers.
Mr. Joe Dickinson, Inventor and Director of Call and Check, discussed regarding the “Using the Postal Infrastructure within the Community for New Revenue Streams”.
Mrs. Afroditi Riga, Head of Section at ELTA & Vice-Chair of PostEurop‘s Training Working Group, highlighted the discussions this Virtual Training Event provided & thanked all the members for their active participation.
